Here's an athlete who thinks that all work (intensive training) and no play would make Julia a dull girl. She lives life to the full, which shows in her perpetual good humour. It was aged 10 that the girl from Nancy discovered climbing, pretty much by accident "my mum's workmate's daughter climbed... I loved it from the first session !" In fact it took her a while to decide between climbing and triathlon. But today, she's one of the best French female hopefuls. Last year she realised the dream of the French youth team, winning the gold at the Youth World championships, against all expectations and stiff competition. « It was a magical, unforgettable moment. » Since the summer break, and to giver herself the best possible chances of success, Julia has joined the Chambéry team, a climbing nerve centre that attracts many young climbers.
